Character Profiles: Introducing Abigail

One of the important stages in creating a short film is building the characters, their background story and their relationship.

I made this mind map to record all of the personality traits my characters will hold. This will help me when I come to create a small dialogue. I aim to portray all of these emotions and features in my short film.

I also took a photo of both of my characters together, this enabled me to see first hand how they will look together.

Target A

To achieve my target my research, planning and evaluation must be detailed, effectively communicated and presented digitally, using a wide variety of formats. I need detailed
research into similar products and target audience and to show the process of planning by including excellent work on shotlists, drafts, storyboards,scripts, locations and props. I need to show full evidence of the research and
planning informing the construction process. My
evaluation must reflect my excellent understanding of forms and conventions, an understanding of the use of new media throughout the stages of production, the way my ancillary and primary tasks combine effectively. There will be an
excellent understanding of the significance of audience feedback. My production work, across the formats, will demonstrates excellent creativity and imagination as I seek to make them as convincing as possible and it will also
reflect my mastery in technical skills such as controlled use of the camera, attention to framing, variety of shot sizes, close attention to mise-en-scène, appropriate transitions and use of sound.
